I totally get it. After I had two (or three? I can't remember) bouts of diverticulitis, I finally realized there were several food items I must leave off the menu from now on. The doctor only told me to avoid nuts, but I take it upon myself to avoid any food that doesn't totally break down through the digestive process. . . dates (the skin), peas, tomatoes (the seeds), in fact anything with edible seeds, even pickles. So many things I no longer allow myself to eat. But it seems to be working, because it's been several years since an attack. But because of Christmas, the Ferrero Rocher people are running ad after ad about their candy on TV, and I do so love hazel nuts!Thank you for saying that Carol. I try not to think about it to much. But sometimes you think, oh that I cannot eat anymore, and that, and that... and so on.
But I must not complain. There are people who don't have any food at all.
