I've been waiting around today for horrible weather thanks to the News. They warned us that by 5pm all kinds of stuff should start maybe. 2 inch hail thunder lightening high winds tornadoes etc etc. It's 8:30. Thanks to the good Lord for not a thing yet 😁 now the tornado watch has been extended until 11pm. I probably won't stay up that late.

Feels weird to be back at the office.....so how many grands and greats Ms Cathie? Got a Baseball team yet?

I have one wonderful grandson....19 now and will inherit a 11 year old granddaughter when oldest remarries this Fall.

I think I saw a Task Force staging up on the shoulder of Rt 100 of all places this morning. There were 4 black Maryland State police SUVS and 4 more unmarked black SUVs that were Non-civs, probably one of the Alphabet groups, ATF etc... at the end of the procession was a fully loaded, bright Yellow Maryland DOT approved 20 ton SNOW PLOW! Think they are going to a party? LOL

Big news yesterday as youngest daughter told me that she's moving out and getting an apartment. It's in a home across the street from where her mom lives so it's a safe area. We will see how this rolls out though.....lol

Eeeek you're asking me to do math and they multiply. Ok there's 5 grands by my 2 sons plus 2 just as valuable from a forever partner to my eldest son. So far there's only 2 boys + 2 boys and I girl great grands. That's only by 3 grands 🥴 though and there's 4 left. Only God knows how many it will be before it's over 🤗

Come on Ms Cathie, you know that you can't count them separate, they are just more of the clan and I'm sure you treat them all the same.

I'm getting ready to inherit a granddaughter. My oldest is marrying a man who had adopted while in a previous marriage and they had adopted Ari, a beautiful little girl. Now I will have two grandkids! An 11 & a 19 year old! Yeah, don't do the math, it's not pretty.

I don't know how I got dumber but I did over the years 🤔. I was trying to start a thread and can't remember how I did it 😭 we had a serious Air quality alert today because of the Canadian wildfires. It was unhealthy for everyone and so... that means Sapphire didn't get to go outside even if the temperature was right. The smoke kept it overcast all day. If there's no direct sunlight why take him out anyway. I don't know if I was right or wrong.

I should have thought you were absolutely right to keep him inside - his poor little lungs would not benefit from polluted air. I wonder if you should even consider rinsing down the ground in his outside area, before you let him out again. You don't know what chemicals might have been blown on to the ground.

It's supposed to rain tomorrow but if not I can do that too. I always water it anyway. I'm sad for Sapphire because it's the last of June and he still hasn't been able to get outside everyday as usual. This month has been pretty cool for around here. I could feel the air quality today was bad even before I saw it on the news. I was going to try to get him out anyway but...if the air quality is bad for everyone I figured my critters shouldn't be outside either... and then I got to thinking about the poor little wildlife.

You mean it gets worse? LOL I don't think too many here will tease you too hard about that.

I was on my deck off my bedroom and while we were talking, a red fox walked out from between my shed and the fence. He looked thin but otherwise fine. He walked a little closer, then trotted out to the middle of the street, stopped, then broke into a run straight down the street.....he was doing the Foxtrot along the curb. No worries at all...

I was thinking about that fear on the hour drive to work this morning. When we forget something and it looks completely foreign to us and shouldn't, it's frightening but it isn't new. It's the same fear I had freezing up at a test once. Back in school, I could goof all week, take a pass on homework and still ace the test. I did it all through school.

Then I grew up and went to take the WSSC plumbing exam. I opened a 20 page test and NOTHING looked familiar! I mean it was all greek. I had been doing this stuff for 4 years by then. This had never happened before and for a moment, I felt that fear and I knew I would never forgot it.

It is exactly the same fear I get today when I have a brainfart and look at a set of drawing that don't look familiar yet it is filled with my notes!

I'm kinda relaxed about it now and I stay calm and take a breath or two....it passes.......for now, right? LOL

On that exam, I handed in the Testbook 2 minutes later & told the Test mgr that I was leaving and taking a 0. I went home a little humbled as I told my wife, then signed up for the next test and handed that one in in 12 minutes, complete! Aced!

Everything evolves, changes.....every thing! Even us so don't sweat it Ms Cathie......you're doing just fine!

I had to keep Sapphire in for a second day. Our air quality is worse today than yesterday. This alert was unhealthy for everyone. They're promising again today maybe tomorrow the smoke will clear out.🤔 my little tortoise wasn't a happy camper. He thinks he should be out and about.

For him at ground level, maybe it's better? Matilda is out but it's much further away here by the bay. Kinds feels like snorkeling to me outside and you need to mind yourself Ms Cathie...copd & fire-smoke don't seem to mix well.
That was my question when I tried to start a thread and found out I forgot how to do that 😭 I sure couldn't put him out for some direct sunlight because there wasn't any so I didn't. And you're right COPD and fire smoke doesn't mix well. It also doesn't mix for healthy people either.sooo... hahaha I managed to learn how to start a thread out of the episode though 🤗😁

Even here near Annapolis, it's so thick you can "see" it even in small outdoor spaces!

Being superman, I got home at 1pm and mowed the front and the back and did the front twice! I'm so fast, I actually watched myself cutting the yard from my deck!

"robots"...remember?

The robots usually take two passes before it's really done nicely. Thankfully, it's right about my speed.....4 buttons each and I'm done!

When I got home from vacation last week, I found the wire loop in the front yard, the one that crosses my driveway and is around 800' long was broken somewhere. The perimeter wire loop keeps the robot inside that space, it won't run if it doesn't detect the wire.

Now what? I tried using an AM radio but even with earphones, I would need to crawl on the ground to hear it. Enter Mr. Wire finder. I connected one end to power then found the break in less than 10 seconds, it was only 20' from the base station. 10 minutes later with a battery powered soldering iron, all fixed and sent the mower out to cut the front.

The smoke doesn't affect them but they are like young children, you need to make sure they make it home! I found Hose B hanging off the curb at 7pm last night before bed. He got confused as how to get home!

I’m thinking it’s time today to pick our first three “Strawberry” tomatoes before some goofy squirrel finds them.

Our basic newly installed perimeter fence is doing a good job at keeping critters - mostly deer - away from our lilies & tomatoes & peppers.

Air nasty over this say too.

I am glad the wild fire smoke is not here in Florida. In the last 6 weeks I have been in the hospital twice for pneumonia. I am just existing now, not much of a life. My mother in law started having shingles. We all decided to get the shingles shot yesterday. Today we all have fevers and feel like crap.

Oh my all of you feel better soon!🙏🤗 especially Mom. Joe got shingles once. The sooner the shot the better is what I found out if you get it. Joe got his later and it still helped though.

My cactus leather got shipped today. I've been busy playing with my design for a new phone case. I can't wait but I have stuff to do and can throw it together quickly when it arrives.😊IMG_20230630_162917057.jpg

Ours was heading into the purple yesterday also. I'm glad it all calmed down for us today... but I began to start worrying about our Canadian friends that are living there close to the fires....
