I drove over to my brother's house today just to see the little puppies I'm going to pick from. I'd like to visit them once a week until I decide which one.. Today they are 2 weeks and 2 days old. There's a CBS TV show on Saturday mornings based from California that gave me a perfect dog training tip today. It's called Lucky Dog. I need all the tips I can get but this one truely fits what I need. You put around 20 pennies in an empty water bottle. Then just shake it if your trainee is going somewhere they shouldn't. Like eating hay from a rabbit s litter box and other munchies.😉 so I have a lot more to worry about then puppy pads and such stuff.🙃
Hopefully they'll get on with Dilly and Razberri!

That's horrible M, I hope the bank will help.
Here...just for you. I saw this yesterday in the Music Store window in Chestertown Md. For a small, rural town, the participation in the Arts is astounding. Multiple theaters, lots of local and "imported" talent perform here.

Flashy, right?

Mark's flowers look great....before the rest of Winter sets in.

Careful visiting the pups weekly.....its a trap. You may end up with more than one! I almost fell into it myself when we got a Siberian. Can you imagine 3??? Lol

Yes, right?

Can you imagine the "Stuffy Toads" when they get an eyeful of that at a recital???

LOL

PS. in music, we called the judges here "toads" and our instructors taught us to only view the tops of their heads, never make eye contact....that way we could try to ignore that we were being judged.

Recitals; THAT stuff will teach folks, "accountability"

LOL

In the early 70's the same meal was around $1 tax included. That was still cheap.and tasty for lunch. I loved the sliced roast beef sandwiches they served on a toasted bun. None of it with all the so called improvements comes close to how good they tasted back then.
omg! You guys sound like our parents!!!! But, I went out on my first date and we got 2 gallons of gas for .20 in a lowered '56 Mercury

I think it'll be fine. Dilly behaves without me having to kill him. Razberri will go into her cage when I ask. They both like to play with baby animals and are gentle. The two of them actually enjoy having a new playmate. 😊

Now that M has her funds covered....

and yes ms Cathie, I think GM put a 402 large block in the Olds, with a 4 barrel carb....the high performance version had duel pumpers on it too!

I have been bad....anyone remember "Prince Bertram the Bad"? Yup.....jeff has a sling shot....nothing lethal by any means, just a red rubber surgical tube slingshot.
It looks a lot like this one; in fact, exactly...

I use those 3/8" steel balls....the black BB's are there for scale

Anyway, many many years ago, I was pretty accurate with them. I never aim, just rip the shot from the side, full extension. We call it "instinctive shooting"

When I moved in here, I had twice the ammo as is in the bowl today and the squirrels(the only animal I plunk at) had no worries. I was 6-18" off on every shot.

Sunday it changed......the first shot, a full profile from 40ft missed, wide right. Then he turned to face me, presenting a much smaller target. The ball sailed through the air and hit him right in the chest, rolling him over backwards. He ran up a tree 5ft, then turned to face down while yelling at me and shaking his tail. Obviously, unhurt but angry....

Yesterday he came back.......first shot nailed him bowling him over......with the same yelling at me BUT this time, he didn't leave. He just kept on doing his thing. Guess it doesn't bother them too much. I was laughing too hard to continue harassing him!

Kerry took the day off to go up to Dover to go dress shopping, I'll stay here and do my stuff.

enjoy the day guys.......

Good to see you back Ray!
How times have changed! Both of my sisters returned from the US and said they would never complain about UK food prices again after seeing how much you have to pay over there just for the basics, and you have to add tax at the checkout! We pay VAT too but it's already added so nasty surprises when you come to pay. I supposed it's something you're used though.

Yes it's the same so hopefully I'll get the money back. There seem to be cameras everywhere which is just as well as there have been horrible things happening here. A mother and her two young daughters had Alkaline thrown at them and the whole incident caught on camera. The attacker has burns on his face and hopefully he will be caught soon.

MaNaAk
That was shocking - I don't know if they have him yet but I was amazed he managed to get away for so long with the injury he gave himself.

Not long before our tortoises can come out🐢❤️
Lola did wander to the door to look out at the garden a few days ago, but turned around and headed back to his hide. It's been very wet and windy here again so I don't blame him.

Good morning/afternoon all.
It's a dry day here today but we have had a lot of rain and high winds for the last few days, not very pleasant at all. Nowhere near as bad or extreme as CA has had though and I hope Yvonne and any other CA members are OK.
I spent the weekend with some of the family; we had tickets for the first of the Six Nations Rugby matches - Wales v Scotland. It was a disastrous first half for Wales who had a lot of new young and inexperienced players, but they came out for the second rearing to go and managed to get within 1 point of Scotland. It turned out to be a really exciting edge of seat match. Even though Wales lost we were very proud of the way they turned it around. It's Wales v England next weekend and we're hoping for the best but fearing the worst. Hopefully lessons have been learnt from their last game. 🤞
I hope you're all well and having a good week.
I have to go shopping now but will see you later.

Matilda(really a male) is suffering Spring Fever for a week now. For the past few days, he's all over his home so I've let him wander outside his enclosure.....I KNOW what he's looking for, I can feel it.....but he doesn't understand that it was 21F outside this morning. He would have, given an hour or so but I'm in my bathrobe and I wasn't babysitting that long outside! He made it to the far end before I scooped him up and came back inside.

Kerry was home yesterday and I showed her how he bee lines for the door. "He's looking for a girlfriend"

Yup!

Anyone else's getting "excited" already? Seem early but it's been a while since I had Clemson the sulc inside so he used to get excited a little later, like end of March of April as I remember.

Yeah Ray, you posted but too busy to chat? We all hope you're good buddy....

I have to go to the money man this morning to move and combine my assets, meager as they may be. I know this is simple math but when you really are talking about "everything you have", I don't want to make a rookie mistake when for a few bucks, it can be avoided. The Union requires a 19 page booklet filled out to get your own money! I split that with my ex so it's not a primary income, thank God! I cannot express in words how much distain I have for all this.....I absolutely hate it! "people act like animals with money involved"....is a very sad fact.

OK, on the Happy side, the Pastor who will marry us, and his wife came over for a couple of hours. I had never met him. He told us anecdotes of seeing couples so bad for one another, he would call one on one to council against it! We had a nice evening....but I was nervous so I talked a lot..(I know, never would have thought, right?) but it was nice. I told him flat out that Superman was marrying Wonder Woman.....then Kerry showed him the Halloween pic.

I went to bed after they left, Kerry came up an hour or so later...and told me that she texted the Pastor and asked him "do you need to call me?" LMAO

He responded; "No, I think you're good"

I love it....all of it....today is the anniversary of when we met 12 yrs ago, our card that I gave her on our 1st date- we pass back and forth each year, adding another stapled page, was waiting for me when I went to make coffee this morning.

I'm going to marry that girl in 24 days!

You'd be better off just trying to outschmart a squirrel. I'm pretty sure you won't 😜 but it's worth a shot at it.😁GM may have had a 402 too but I had a "78 Mercury 😉 so maybe I remember. Maybe not 🤗

And well...I'd have never guessed that you get so nervous you start talking a lot 😉🤗. But nice that you got Kerry's pastor's blessing. You must have told him your life story 😭 I'm waiting on pictures at least sometime soon after the date.🤗 and what a cutie 🐢

Razberri s old antique porcelain on steel litter pan sprang a leak so I had to go shopping at my favorite antique mall. I found this one 😁 for 50% off. I've never in my life seen one with this pattern but there was other things there like a gigantic campfire coffee pot etc etc..with the same pattern. All that matters is my picky little bunny 🐰 likes to lounge in it. Here it is.IMG_20240207_135734635.jpg

Hahaha but I won't be doing more than one. Chances are I'm going to get an ankle biter or a yap trap one way or another. I'm visiting weekly until the deal is done 😉🤔🙃

Out making dinner last night and there were 3 deer in the corner of the yard, just watching me cook on the grill. Then, the gas tank ran out and flame dropped out.....I went to change the #20 tank while Kerry called at the same time so I put her on speaker. I got the tank changed as she commented about the noise....but the deer were still in the yard!

pretty cool

We had waterfront property again yesterday too due to high tides!

1 as in one single pup? OR 1 LITTER?

LOL
