I must never get sick. Never heard of a Z-Pac. I do add apple cider vinegar to our juices & we use it on our salads. Hope Rose is on the mend!
Because of my allergies and such that is the only one I can take for an antibiotic for a sinus infection or infection. It doesn't happen often so I don't have to use it often at all. Apple cider vinegar is the bomb. Even if I do get a Z-Pac I'll need the cough remedy.🤗

I'm figuring you'd have to pack the stuff for woodcarving.. And have a kayak on board for back up.😉
And well...then you'd get kicked off the boat for carrying knives and such stuff on board for boards 😉 and paddles are pretty much boards too.😁

What a day.....still haven't slept....but I got downstairs at 2AM and worked solid till 6, ate, went back down till 10. Got all my electronics moved to my nearly 500sf storage room, behind my basement. The Cleanup folks blocked the door moving the 55gal aquariums and no one else even looked back there so I cleaned a new spot and put my $$ stuff back there. No one needs to move Bike parts that cannot be replaced at any price. When the only one on the planet gets damaged by movers, how do you price that....you sure won't replace it. So I cleaned and moved, heaved a bunch of contractor bags out back. At 1, my contractor Darin came over to look at the job and give me a price. He did both projects upstairs, my room last year I think. He sees $7.5K in labor for 720sf of waterproof laminate flooring in 2 rms plus a full bath. There's also 70lf of drywall to repair, now cut 12" above the floor & baseboard all the way around. His price isn't bad but Ouch.....but when I work out how long I estimate for him to accomplish it, 3 weeks, and at $65 and hr, it's 9 grand so it's not like he's crazy high.....5K is his breakout for the floor, and he's making his money there....and I'm okay with that. He will pick everything up and bring it. I learned the Flooring/baseboard place, Wood Floors Plus doesn't carry drywall so I tested him back and agreed but he has to pick up the drywall & I'll cover mat cost. I also told him I'm going to pull & trash the water closet and the vanity and will replace them when he's done.
His price was 1.5K higher than Erie allowed, before my 1K deductible, $2.5K out of pocket but Darin is the guy I can leave the house open for and not worry. That kind of stuff is worth a lot to me.

So tomorrow I'll order the stuff....Their prices are great, he bought my crown for my bedroom there and it's perfect. 16' baseboards 5.25" for 14 bucks primed. Their best waterproof lam is $2.3psf so maybe I'll get whole when the Erie money comes in for the material or the Erie money for damaged possessions. If not, I am not upset..... this is still a miracle for getting daughter out of basement & rooms brought to new condition! I just look up and say thank you! I will remain humble here, I'm not Mr. Contractor...I'm a thankful homeowner!

I think I woke last night around 11 maybe? Not sure but the echo's say it's bed time! LOL

Yeah, I don't want to be next to Mark in the TSA line......not that he will be detained, but remembering what he did for a living..... they just might let him ON the plane with his toys!

have a great evening guys......

Well I found out the Z-pak situation. It's not a antibiotic it is a prednisone dose pac. That makes more sense to me. Rose's asthma as kicked in but her upper sinuses are not stuffed up. I had to give her a scolding today. For not gargling long enough. Looks like I will be sleeping in my easy chair again tonight. Her cough is persistent and she is being stubborn about a warm water or tea mixed with lemon and honey. She says it is to sweet. I told her something to sweet is the least of her problems. Wish she would take advice from others and quit being stubborn. 🤔😖
Sometimes we are our own worst enemies, but pleased she's feeling well enough to argue back!;) Hope the asthma eases soon.

On the cruise. Id feel trapped as well on a massive cruise ship with 1000s of people. Id probably not be permitted on board - “Sir, no chainsaws or carving tools permitted”. Please walk the gang blank.

That said i thoroughly enjoyed the VERY small cruises that ive been on. One was on a tall clipper ship along the coast of Maine. Maybe 25 ppl max. Think small cabins, hoisting sails, crab & lobster bakes on the shoreline.

The second was an inland cruise from Moscow to St Petersburg.
Got to see some interesting very rural & remote parts of Russia. Took a small cruise down the Nile in Egypt. Very interesting way to slowly see things along the Nile & ppl there. Lastly, another very small ship/cruise along the southern coast of Turkey. Crystal clear water, seafood & sights galore.

BUT, a three-year-long cruise on a massive ship with a ton of ppl might be a bit long.
Some of my elderly neighbours recently returned from a 2 week cruise - they and many other passengers ended up being locked down in their cabin after a few days because of covid:( Not the experience they hoped for.

Good morning/afternoon all,
The snow in my area has been replaced by rain and lots of it - but it's much needed rain so not complaining. Still chilly but warming up for a few days before the next arctic blast arrives. Northern parts of the UK continue to have snow on the way.

I've had a busy weekend with family. It was little Isaacs first birthday on Friday and he had a party yesterday which we were all invited to. I think his next one will be when he's old enough to appreciate it, but this was one was special and a good excuse to get together with family.

I hope you're all having a good weekend.

I'm sorry I can't quite remember who little Isaacs parents are. But a happy birthday to him from me. We've had a good snow this morning but now it's gone. We have another snow forecast for tomorrow. That'll be the third snow after the forsythia bloomed. We'll see if the old saying is true that there will be three snows after the forsythia blooms.🤗

Everyone gets snow but us......but I'm not complaining about 50F in the middle of March either.

According to our field guys, the cherry blossoms in DC are already blooming and have been for a week.

Cloudy & 48 today and supposed to rain I think. Matilda ate Friday afternoon so I haven't seen her all weekend, daughter and Kerry gone.......yeah, I miss the girls.

Good Ray, I hope you drive her nuts.....make her yell at you, always worked for my ex. She'd get sick, get mad at me since I never did, and she'd yell at me and the kids, then she'd be better. Not completely sure that we were ALL rooting for her to get better all the time though...LOL

Poor Kerry, no really $$ POOR Kerry.....LOL....she went down to help her daughter get settled into her apt near school. I warned her that it was going to cost and she want to take my discover card and every time I've called, she or they are in another store......apparently she's brutalized her Cap1 card down there. LOL

She comes back late tonight but I won't see her till next w/e.

I don't want any snow, I'm don't play in it anymore. I don't mine the rain in the Winter, It's easier to shovel.

I know that Jeff throws stuff out there to see if we read it…or to correct him when he leads us a tad astray….

So, the infamous Washington DC cherry trees are not quite in bloom yet. Close, but not yet. In addition to the cherry trees 1000s of magnolias, dogwood & Bradford Pear trees are blooming…. But NOT the famous Tidal Basin trees. Close, but not yet

But but but wait…..what is blooming down in DC?

Two varieties, the Yoshino and Kwanzan, are now the most common type in Washington DC. Mostly Yoshino cherry trees circle the Tidal Basin and spill north onto the Washington Monument grounds. Yoshino cherries produce many single white blossoms that create the effect of white clouds around the Tidal Basin.

Went out to add some peanuts to our bird feeder today & thought I would try the Cornell Bird Call ID (via my ipad)

It did pretty well

Isaac is a nephew's son, and quite a character.
I hope the snow doesn't hang about too long for you Cathie.
