Well done Kerry! The nap is coming back to haunt me....lol. I might not sleep much tonight.
I joined Kerry at the pool for some people watching, then she came from deep in the hole on the front 9 to whip me in miniature golf when my buzz ended and my game collapsed on the back 9. Lol
The place here has a ton of kids but it was a timeshare gift from friends so it's really cheap to stay here. The kids are a bane to a recently retired teacher but most of them are actually pretty good....and most of them are fat. We always had 1 fat kid in class and he paid heck for it. Now they tell me not to offend their body image. Ok Sparky but those biker tats on the Pillsbury dough boy body don't make you look tough, trust me. I'm watching your girl as she's desperately looking for her next ride with her roaming eyes. I am just having fun but there should be a BMI limit to be eligible for tats on a man. I mean I have to look at that mess, put a shirt on bro. LOL
It is nice here....and Kerry is the one struggling to get into vacation mode for a change. It's ok, I've got her.
The 25 y/o young man who waited on us at lunch was from Ukraine. He bailed at the very onset of stupid. Meh, we all make our own decisions but at least he was fit.
LOL
It's good she got to have her family with her. What a wonderful loving family to just be there.Good afternoon everyone!
I had some sad news this morning when an old family friend from Malaysia passed away from cancer. Her daughter and granddaughter had been caring for her and she slipped away with her family at her bedside.

Thankyou Cathie she was such a lovely person. It's good she got to have her family with her. What a wonderful loving family to just be there.
Wow that's so amazing that there's harpsichord craftsmen in our country. I love to hear certain Bach songs played on one. Unfortunately owning one is out of my league so I never really looked. Playing on one would be even be more amazing.Sorry bout your friend N.
Was thinking about you when I saw these Harpsichords. This is the craftsman who built them: View attachment 372992

The most interesting thing about this area of the country is that this(Jamestowne) is where it all began for us Americans and only a couple miles away at Yorktown, is where the Colonial rule portion of our history ends.

Ya'll know I love my toys....but in reality I like things that increase my quality of life. We all know the deal, we get older and physical things drain us more. My toys keep "life" accessible for a person who despite my fantasies, would find those things difficult. We toured the 4000 acre National Park getting much closer that those in their cars.
Wow! Another place I should go to if I visit the states!Sorry bout your friend N.

LOL! How funny! I did that when I was a kid too!!! It's been over 75 years, so I don't remember my parents' reaction. I still have that piano. We kids once put tacks on our piano's hammers at home, on the felt to replicate the Harpsichord sound.
Once.....Mom wasn't amused. LOL
We got back to the Nook this morning, we left Williamsburg at 330AM. My septic test at the old house did not go well earlier this week. The tank is under the sunroom which they don't like but I might be able to convince them to okay it if I replace the failed drain field & distribution box. This will leave a mark....im just trying not to get twisted. I sent the report to 3 guys yesterday for quotes. I have no issue replacing it....i just want it resolved.
I also put tiny decals on the wood, and I DO remember their reaction to that. It was considered a fine piece of furniture and I defaced it. They were mighty mad!!LOL! How funny! Last month Kerry refinished my folks dining room China cabinet and the low cabinet. For 10 yrs she wanted to refinish them but the fear of "touching the dining room furniture" lasted many decades in me. LolI also put tiny decals on the wood, and I DO remember their reaction to that. Bedtime!Called a septic guy and he showed up in 30min to look at what I have. He will come on Monday with a machine to uncover the distribution box and see if he can salvage any drain trenches. Husband/wife team.....i love it.
Took the little car out for a shakedown test ride...i haven't driven it in years....perfect. The blue bike hasn't run in a year and it started on the first stroke!
We are taking the car home to the Nook in the morning and coming back Monday with an enclosed trailer to begin running the bikes to the Nook. I plan on keeping 6.
.of course it's pouring now....Kerry is still sleeping, I've been up since 2am
LOL
