Rose's mother (Nanay) had a longtime friend pass away. She lived in California. Thank goodness for the ritual the Philippine people have. This gives time for Rose and Nanay to get to California for the ceremonies. They will be leaving here on the 14th to California and returning on the 19th. I was surprised a round trip ticket was around 400.00. So I have plenty of time to plan a party.🤣
Everyone is invited!

I dislike the winter. Opo and Ms.Sully sleep late. So it messes up my routine. I get my morning bump feeding them and giving them a good scratching. Talking to them like they understand me. Yesterday they didn't come out at all. The night before I went out to make sure they were good. I noticed Ms.Sully's door closed. So I figured Rose closed her up. I still checked and found she wasn't in bed. I found her by the side of the shed sleeping. Tried to get her moving so to go to bed. All she did was thrash at me. So I went and got a nice clean blanket out of the closet. About 8 handwarmers and got her settled in. Later went to check on her and she and knocked the blanket off. Got her settled in and went and watched TV. About midnight I got a notification on my phone. There was movement in the backyard. Looked on the camera and Ms.Sully was dragging the blanket. She climbed into her enclosure. So I went out and closed the door. I figured now I would get some sleep. But the phantom pains had a different idea. So now I am on 2 nights in a row with no sleep. I have come to a realization that this is how life will be. I will sleep when my body let's me. No more fighting it,just accept it.

When is the party? Winter? We have a light coating of snow on the ground.....

When I was reading about the Collectibles you bought as gifts, I sometimes forget that you have the time and smarts to really master some of those niches. like coins and Pokémon cards. You are right to buy at the high end of the spectrum for investment and to be sure you are getting a real coin.

I'm hoping to manage a full night's sleep tonight. For about the last week I've been waking after a few hours and then can't get back to sleep. So I've had a small brandy in the hope it will help me stay asleep longer.
I'm off to bed now so nos da and take care.
I know the feeling, hope the brandy works

I happened to come across 2 different sulcata sites on FB. The care information being given on the sites are unbelievable. I gave a few suggestions and told myself to leave FB. I would go crazy trying to help those people.
Ya, Ray, I dumped fb years ago, don't mean to offend anyone, but all I saw was dreck, a lot of gossip & drama. Life is too short, I don't need that. additionally all those misinformationist's ( I might have made up a new word) will try to convince you that you are wrong, sorry no time for that...
So, let me ask . . if YOU were looking for info about tortoises, & turtles , , would you go to a site specifically FOR tortoise and turtles, or would you go to fb with god knows what . . .?

Aw'ww Ray, I couldn't decide if i should put a laugh emoji or a cry emoji. I have had the same issue with Seymour. He has a heating pad in the corner of my bird room when you walk in the front door. I frequently put him out on the patio during the day, to do his business, and bring him inside at night, try to feed him, and put him on his pad for the night with a towel over him. Occasionally at "x" am he will start wandering the bird room dragging the towel with him. When he does that several of the birds will FREAK OUT. Birds are deathly afraid of reptiles/tort's. So I have to get up and pull out a tub in the kitchen, and put him in it till morning.
On the other note, NOT being able to sleep sucks...you just need to take the sleep when you get it it. THAT is hard for me routinely. Once I'm up in the morning there is no going back, till bed time, unless, I'm coming down with something, or . . . exhaustion. For a while I was using 1/4 dose of Advil PM, just to take the edge off (slow my mind down) so I could drift off.

I would definitely go to a forum. That's how I found TFO. Every time I asked Google a question about sulcata's. TFO was usually the first choice. So that's why I joined. I was on FB because a motorcycle group has a site there. As I was scrolling i saw the sulcata site. So I poked my head in and I couldn't believe the wrong information that was given. I put a few suggestions in and then decided. This was to big of a task to handle.

Ya, it's OTC, and a dose is two capsules/tablets. I try to avoid using any med's unless I have to. I take one capsule/tablet and cut it in half, and THAT seems to work for me...
Note: If you are on other med's, you should make sure that they are compatible...

Yeah I better check with the doctor. I am on about 20 medications. 3 are blood thinners. Not sure if advil would be a problem with the thinners.

Yum, Just cook it low . . and slo!
It will take me a few times using it to get dialed in. I can't wait to smoke some ribs with it. I am hoping that it is the grill that will work well. My last grill rusted out being outside. This grill is not heavy and I will be able to store in the garage.

My little city is going to have a ball drop ceremony again this year 😁 I didn't even know they built one last year 🤔. But my plans are that Joe will wake me up a few minutes before midnight and make me watch the one in New York City on TV instead. ( As usual) Hopefully we will be warm and cozy.😊 We're supposed to get a freezing drizzle on top of our snow today around 11 or 12.⛄ Maybe my city will have to do an ice skating party 🥳 to ring in the New Year instead ⛷️🏂❄️❄️ no fireworks 😊
