Cold in Florida

Not sure about others but our low last night was 33. ❄️
Hopefully the orange groves survived. Florida loses cane toads, brown anoles and feral iguanas in the low 30s.
Today will reach 65 and tomorrow 75

What a difference being close to the ocean makes. CharlieM, HLogic and I are all at about the same latitude in south Florida but as my house is only a half mile from the ocean our low this morning was 40 degrees...a good bit warmer than their places.

I did see a few feral Cuban knight anoles laying on sidewalks yesterday though. They appear to be the first of the exotics to suffer from the cold snaps and their typical response to cold weather is to fall out of the trees they live in.
And then lay in the road or sidewalk with little X's for eyes...

I believe it was colder in Florida than Vancouver last night! It is cold!

Hallelujah! I almost froze to death. Finally back up into the 80's, and all the tortoise's and iguanas are outside enjoying it. Now I can get to work planting my papaya plantation...
