I like your animal's coloration. Does it not get a lot of time in the sunlight during the warmer months? I most commonly see coloration such as this when raised primarily inside (not a problem; just an adaptation), but there are surely exceptions.

I agree, even with so called proper UVB lighting the shell becomes dark. Personally I think it looks good, but that's just me.

You mentioned keeping him outdoors but seeing as how you keep a better eye on him than most people do of their kids, how long do you think it will take you until you bring him back inside? lol

Oh he won't stay outdoors, he will spend a few hours or so outside a day on good days. He is my spoiled indoors kid. :p

I'm talking about the 3 month old pic and the 22 month old pic, it's just unreal. In a good way.

Cooper's idea for "ringing in the new year" was catching some more ZZzzz's as we layed on the floor. Of course he has his own pillow and a heating blanket to sleep on.

You can't tell in the picture but his front nail's are getting very close to the size of my pinky finger nail, just blow's my mind! And yes I know I sound like a broken record, but it just floor's me how fast he is growing. My family, and myself included, find it hard to believe to this day that his shell grow's as fast as it does! Ok, I am done going on. I hope all my forum friend's had a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year! I haven't been on as much as of late because my health has been keeping me down. Have a great day everyone! :)

What in the world do you feed him?!! That's the largest near 2 yr old I've ever seen. What is the world record on size for sullies? Great job on raising him, and I'm so sorry to hear of your pain. I had my first heart attack 3 weeks ago. I often think of how my babies will become adults w/o me and it saddens me.:-(

I would love to know the answer to that question, I would also love to know the record size of sully's at every year. Maybe he could be one of the biggest 2 yearolds that's raised indoors by a rookie! I'm sorry to hear of your troubles, I hope you get to feeling better soon!!

Ok, Cooper's 23 month weigh in as of yesterday was 22.7 lb's. This, I believe, is one of his lightest weight gain's in a month in some time. Maybe he is going to slow down some on how much he gain's each month. Or its just wishfull thinking on my part. Either way I love him just the same! :)

Anyone with a 2 yearold Sulcata I would love to hear your tort's size/weight at the 24 month mark. I'm guessing Cooper will be 24lbs or more by next month for his 2 yearold bday. Thanks in advance!!

Here is a picture of Cooper last week next to my size 10 1/2 foot. Try'n to give those who are interested in his size a picture next to something that show's it better.

Hi! I'm still a "newbie" trying to find my way around the forum. I've followed Cooper's story since my "adopted" tort, ET is about the same age. My niece (the REAL owner) says ET is about 23 months~ compared to Cooper, he's a runt! :p Just kidding! ET is a healthy sully, about 7.5" in length~ no weight measurement yet until I get a scale but he feels solid (guessing he's around 2lbs).

I'll post pictures when I find out the best way for me to do it. :D

Here are a couple pictures of Cooper sleeping in his new favorite spot, he will turn and rest his head on my left arm. He is such a character, you would think he is laying this way to watch tv, but I dont think he likes the same shows I watch! :p Have a great week friends!

Kresh just turned 2 and he is 9 inches long and 3 lbs. Lol

Lol! Cooper will be 2 next month. When I first joined the forum, as I was looking at some of my 1st posts, I noticed I wasnt sure of his age because I have it wrong. But when I got ahold of the breeder thats when I found out he was born in February of 2011. Thanks for posting your Kresh's stats, I always like to know about others that are about Cooper's age!
