I'm gonna put some vita shell stuff on I guess. I know he isn't dry but I don't want him looking all dry when he has guests over.

Oh no, don't change a thing....he is beautiful.....he is perfect Chris :D

He does not look dry to me, I believe it is just the angle and lighting...again, he is perfect Chris :D
Lol! Thanks Angela! I have used that stuff on him from time to time. I know some people like it, and some people don't. It sure does make him look great tho! Some of the older pic's I have on here he has it on to make him all clean and shiny looking. :)

Well, I weighed Cooper last night, he is now 17 months, and I put him on the scales last on 6-22-12. So as of last night he is 11.5lbs. So that is a big gain for a month! I believe its .8lbs in a month! He has gained almost 1/2 a inch. Dont know what I am going to do with that big boy! Nah, just kid'n, he is great!! Have a great night forum friends!! :D

Well here we go. Cooper will be 19 months in a week or so. He weighed in at 14.2lbs, and is 13 inch's from front to back of his shell. His weight gain is just getting more and more by the month. I do believe I am gonna have to cut back, but any of you "long time" care givers of our shelled buddies (sulcata's or big guy's in general) I would love to hear your advice/opinions/feedback on his size, and what you think would be a good amount to feed him give'n his size already. Of course he doesn't think he gets enough food already! :p I hope all my forum friends have a great Wednesday/Humpday! :)

I loved your story about your tort and I think that Cooper loves you too. I use to have a mouse and I know that he loved me, he would do similar things like walk all over me, came to me when I called him, liked to lay on my hand, etc. I don't think animals feel like we do but I do think they have a definite way of loving their human friends and caretakers. Thanks for the story. I hope mine will have similar feelings for me and that I can have some of your cool stories of my own!:)

What exactly do you feed him? Give us an idea of a typical few days.

Well tonight I am going to try and measure out how much he gets it eat, hope this will give you a better idea. I am really interested to know how much people are feeding a sulcata around his size, since he is way big for his age. Thanks!
