I've noticed that my eastern mud turtle, who is not quite 3 years old now, has not been coming out much in the daytime, but has been coming out more in the late evenings, after the sun has gone down.
Since her aquarium is inside the house, which is kept at a constant temperature, I know she's not responding to heat or light. As she is maturing, could she be becoming more crepuscular or even nocturnal????

Well, I do not house this species....but they apparently like to eat/hunt for food during the night....perhaps the turtle just realized what it is and is going with it?

Moozillion, mine do the same...they are very soothing to watch in the evening as I am winding down for the day.
