Curtis has gone missing

I’m really wondering if he was stolen. I don’t know how anyone would know of his existence since his yard is completely hidden from outside, but I really, really find it hard to believe that he could have escaped. In that case, is there anything I could do to find him besides checking sites like Facebook marketplace and Craigslist? I don’t see any sign of a break in, but it would not have been hard to just open the gates, grab him, and close them.

We are not seeing any sign of him.

I’m not home yet, but I will be soon. My mom is putting them around posts at the moment, but I’m going to post them on the doors of the neighborhood in front of our house.

Maybe try knocking on doors and introducing yourself and giving a brief explanation of the situation along with the flyer? It might make people more likely to remember and keep an eye out.

Are there any local reptile rescues or other places where someone might take a tortoise if they find one? Maybe give them a heads up awhile to let them know you're looking for a sulcata

Just put signs up, and we’re posting in a few different places online. It sounds silly, but I might message the news to see if I can get the word out on TV, too.

if you have white christmas tree lights run a string (or 5) into the woods and hopefully he will be laying on them in the morning; they have a nice heat and a long reach for a better chance of him seeing it.
