Can anybody tell me whether she is an eastern or western....
Yellowish so originally thinking western. Is that a keyhole? Yellowish spot on side of face.... no hinge..

But broken black lines on plastron so eastern? Undivided supra caudal scute.... squarish head? So eastern?
Gular scutes have small black marks.

That's an eastern. I might be wrong. Plus Easterns are more common.

Interesting for identifying hermanni is the head. Could you post a picture of the head especially from the profile?

Wow, Thanks. Lots of replies. On the cites certificate it only states Testudo hermannni. HermanniChris, you are a very knowledgeable man. I enjoy reading your posts and admire the information you add to the forum. Thank you to everybody else too. She is a wonderful animal.....
