I've been seeing a bunch of stuff on the web of cherryheads and red foots eating meat, some were baby mice, earthworms, and a few other things. Do I add this to our little guys diet?

I feed pinkies, worms, or scrambled egg for protein once a week to my redfoots. How old is your guy, some say no protein for first 6 months.
I fed 1 pinkie each from 4months old.

I had some left-over chicken from last night. I took off the skin and cut up the meat. The red and yellowfooted tortoises ate it right up.

Actually I only feed once a week because @Anyfoot feeds once a week as well and I wanted to try it, and I really regret feeding once a month or less for so long. I thought Bean just had a crap digestive system, since I started feeding AP once a week his digestive situation finally stabilized. Maybe it's just a coincidence, but I'm still gonna feed AP weekly. :p

I'm pretty sure breeders don't sell their hatchlings too young. Most of the hatchlings I see for sale are at least 4 months old.

I feed whole, smashed boiled eggs. Shell and all.
And wet, pure, high quality dog food.
Also some chopped beef heart.
The reason is I have the dog food on hand for my dog and the beef heart for my giant fish.
About once a week.

"Straight Center Line" refers to the length of the turtle/tortoise in a straight line (not over the curve of the shell) front to back
That's funny.:D I was asking Theeleg what size his Tortoise is.
Think there is some confusion going on. I was asking you what the length of your Tortoise is. SCL. Straight carapace length. You measure your torts shell length without bending the tape measure to the carapace

Yeah, I didn't see the picture this morning though.. When I get home I'll have a look at what age mine were at that size. It will give you a rough idea of age.

Awesome thank you
It's only a guesstimate.
My records don't go back as small as your tort is. At 6months my 3 juveniles were. 3.15", 2.95" and 2.83" SCL.
Yours looks 2.5" in that photo, assuming its growing at the same pace as mine, that makes yours about 5 months. But you have to remember they grow at different rates and are born at different sizes. To be safe I would guess yours is between 4 and 6 months old.
