A couple months ago my leopard dug a nest and tried to lay, but nothing came out. Now, every couple days she's laying an egg wherever she happens to be. Often walking on and breaking them. The ones that weren't broken seem to have a very thick shell and are extremely hard. Do you think these could possibly be fertile?

I've never had any luck with eggs that were laid above ground, but it's always worth a try to incubate them. One of my female boxies layed her eggs above ground for a couple of years. Not sure if it was infertility or she was still too immature or just didn't like the soil. But after those first couple of years, she became quite the producer and hasn't laid the eggs above ground since.

This is her first year of laying. And, the male is not quite 4 years. But, they sure mate constantly
