Today Lego, hours before Milton hurricane hits Florida was exploring a patch of orchids we keep in our screened area in the backyard. His curious nature and the colorful flowers create a relaxing scene of discovery in the garden just before the storm.

Here we go!!! From a different day….. but is a good example of our collection. We keep those in our screened area in the back and is really beautiful when they all bloom together.

Don't turn your back on this hurricane. They have a way of suddenly being in your face. Protect your family, your lovely little tortoise and yourself. Good luck!

Yes yes. Already all prepared. Food and essentials, batteries and water. All we may need for the next week. Not only during the storm but after too.
Thank you for your kind words!!!!

I've got more batteries than a hardware store...
Let me know.
I start buying in January every year

The retail stores are all closing at 4pm.
Several gas stations I drove past are already out of gas. The one closest to my house has PREMIUM and DEISEL only.
No D cell batteries at HARBOR FREIGHT, LOWES or HOME DEPOT. Very few other size batteries available.
Imagine the nightmare for those folks a bit further north?
Indian country and the EVERGLADES are getting hit with multiple tornadoes just to the west.
I've parked the vehicles up against the house. Away from the street. The streets will definitely be under water.
The garage and sun room are stuffed with other possible projectiles.
Kelly and I are in for the night.
I still don't expect much actual damage this far south.
Right now, Fort Meyers is in the cone. That would make local surges possible. As well as gusts that will wreak havoc on wooden fences and mango trees. Etc.

Gosh I don’t envy you guys dealing with this insane weather😣thoughts are with you!!
The entire state will probably lose all of our home HURRICANE policies.
This will bankrupt the few companies that are still in business

I keep watching for updates even though I’m the other side of the pond, looks like it’s going to be devastating, can’t imagine😞💔
You never get used to it and it's never not frightening

It might be a good time to snap a few photos in case we do another TFO FORUM CALENDAR.
Redfoot get very excited when a storm is coming. They love thunderstorms. And will spend the whole time running around in the rain.
Lego is eating and walking around…. Waiting for Milton.
Please don't tell me is too much food…. He is eating the hurricane snacks to early 😉
