has anyone ever heard of torts filing their own nails?
My female has been doing what looks like just that this week. She's never done it before so it's very out of the ordinary and I'm not 100% sure that's what she's doing because I've never heard of it before.
I gave her some new slate a few weeks back which covers her basking area and she's started to rub her back feet against it all the time. She scrapes her nails against it, which are a little long, so I'm wondering if she's just got the instict to sort them out herself here. I don't know?
I was worried that she might be scraping for a nesting spot but she's not digging around anywhere in her table and she is only scraping with her back legs only on the slate.
Weird.
Hope someone can shed some light.
