I don't know that such a breakdown is useful. Hibiscus flowers are good food for tortoises. A diet composed of only one thing would be a problem. Does that help?

Hibiscus flowers as far as I know don't really offer much in the way of nutrition. I feed my tortoises a lot of leaves and flowers as I see them.
This time of the year I'll generally have at least a dozen each day.

Tidgy was eating Hibiscus flowers just yesterday.
She loves them and they are not harmful.
They do have some fruit acids in them, but only small amounts, and I would say are fine to feed to tortoises in as part of a balanced, mixed diet.

Where do you get the Hibiscus flowers?

You can buy dried ones from Amazon or from Kapidolo Farms. Kapidolo Farms sells a large variety of dried foods. Otherwise, you can get some at your local nursery. Just make sure that they were not sprayed with any chemicals or pesticides. You can also grow them yourself. Some people have hibiscus growing in their own backyard.

They must have significant nutrition. During some parts of the year they make up 40% of the total diet of wild redfoots, according to the Vinkes.
