Does anyone in the states have P. geometricus? Are there any assurance colonies? I know of the Angulate working group, the Kinixys cooperative, but is there anything for Geos?
Psammobates tortoises are very rare in the US, and there may not be any geometric tortoises at all.
The Turtle Conservancy does a lot of work with geometric tortoises in SA. They own a lot of land to protect them in the wild. Maybe you could volunteer or something, though I do not know how far it is from your home.
