This is Ghamara....he is our youngest CDT. He unfortunately for him was ripped from the desert by a horrible woman...he was turned over to me after removed from other party ....he at least survived..many of the others did not survive...so as with each of these guys I am very honored to host them. Ghamara has great defensive maneuvers still....enjoy all ...

Wow, Angela that story is so sad. Why did the woman do that? Was it trying to make a profit? How did they even find her? :(
I'm glad Ghamara ended up with you, at any rate. He seems perfectly healthy and happy! Lovely photos of him. Thank you kindly for sharing! :)

I believe that the woman just had to have em and would not respect the law and in doing so failed to make safe decisions, I really can not go into too many other specific details due to, well, it is better off I don't :p

I don't know if it was for profit or not, as some of the old timers that live out here in the desert that I have talked to will tell stories about paying people 10.00 dollars per desert tortoise that they would have people collect, as little as 15 years ago...crazy stuff....

I am just very appreciative that Ghami made it... and I just love him :p

Well it's a real shame she decided to do that, but I'm glad Ghami made it, too! :D

$10 is insane. There goes the profit theory. o_o
