Well, kinda. Here is my first golden for 2010 hatching out. Pics from yesterday, showing a very tiny foot and today, head and front legs out.

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! Bout time we see some hatching pics around here! I expect more when the baby is all the way out! Pure golden? Keith, you need to do updates on your other torts too! I wanna see!

Nothing can give you a bad case of the wants quite like a new hatched tortoise. :D

Thank you all.

Meg, I can't say they are pure golden. In fact I don't think I have ever asked to have them ID'd. I will submit to the experts opinions. Tell me what they are.
Here are some pics of the female first.
This first one is from a couple of years ago. The rest were taken today. You can see that she has darkened up quite a bit.

The female looks "Golden" to me :) What do the front legs of the male look like?

The male looks more like a Golden/Antakyan cross. It's possible the female is too.

Thanks for all the nice comments everybody.

Dan, thank you for the ID.

One out, two more pippin' or is that pipped. :)

Meg, these are the last ones in my incubator. I have had it on since last Feb. with Ibera eggs, the last of my Ibera for '09 hatched out about 5 weeks ago. I may get to turn it off for a month. :)

OMG! Is that a nickel? I had no idea they were so tiny when they first come out.

Yes, a nickel. The eggs are about 2/3 the size of an Ibera egg, so these guys are tiny.

Just to give some size reference, here is a picture of some Ibrea hatchlings next to a quarter, giants compared to the Golden.

LUCKY!

That's wonderful Keith! The babies look awesome.

I hope to get eggs from my pair of Goldens this year.
