hello! i have a baby russian tortoise (im assuming around 6ish months old) who seems to love being held and will even “run” to my hand when im near, and one thing i do with him/her is pet him/her on the head. sometimes he/she just sits there with his/her head out and “let’s it happen”, sometimes (but rarely) he/she will halfway hide his/her head in (which i know means stop) and a lot of the time, he/she will rub his/her head against my fingers (kind of like how a cat will rub its head on you for more pets). i thought this could be either a.) he/she likes being pet on the head or b.) it’s his/her way of telling me to stop. if anyone has any advice that would be much appreciated!! i don’t want to keep rubbing his/her head if they hate it but the way they rub their head on my fingers makes me feel like he/she is enjoying it (though maybe i’m just imagining it because i want him/her to like it lol)
