Healthy shell or something wrong?

I've a question on the shell of my redfoot. He's born (as far as I know) in September 2013, so a few months over a year old. I think he's a bit small for his age, so maybe he is a bit younger or had a slow start... I've had him for a couple of weeks now, and I'm wondering whether his shell looks normal to you.

On his belly he has some dark spots and it's not smooth but a bit bumpy (see first 3 pictures). If I press it gives a bit, not like spongy but more like firm plastic.

The other two pictures are to give you an impression how he looks right side up :) He eats, poops, sleeps and walks around like a healthy tortoise (as far as I know as a newbie of course).

I'm not real familiar with RF tortoises, but I'm guessing there's nothing wrong. That area is where the yolk was attached and quite often the wrinkles don't smooth out right away. The brown color might just be shell color. But let's wait to hear from folks who keep RF tortoises just to be sure.

Thanks Yvonne, I hope it's indeed normal! I do my best to keep him humid (high relative humidity) and to keep the bedding dry at the top.
Hope some RF owners will also share their opinions!
