If you start a new thread with this question you will probably get answers. I know some people use large pink blankets for outdoor enclosures.

Even thought Magni hasn't visited the Forum in a couple years, I think this is still a viable question. Here's a picture with my pig blankets:



(these were in the Aldabran shed, and those tortoises have since been sold. The damaged pig blanket (200lb tortoise) has been thrown away. The picture is just to show them on the floor of the shed. )

Here's how I mounted the pig blanket on Dudley's wall:



I didn't like that application because he's so big, he didn't derive enough heat off the pad on the wall. It is now on the floor.

In the Vision Cage, I use a Radiant Heat Panel (RHP) as the roof of their hiding place. It's on the right side of the picture:



I used to use a seedling heat strip under the substrate in my baby outdoor tort tables, but I don't keep babies in tort tables anymore. Closed chambers from here on (unless something better is discovered) It's that black thing in the upper right corner of the picture that's curving up out of the substrate :
