We are the Jimenez family from Taylorsville Utah, we recently added a new member to our family. We are first time tort owners, got our baby Sulcata (Lewy) in November 2022 from Cali. It has been quite a learning curve for us but are dedicated to providing Lewy the best possible care and love. We feel that we have much to learn still and so many questions, this page has already educate us so much and we are so thankful to have found this page. .

You'll need a large enclosure soon.
Levy looks about 30-40 grams@ 3months old... and could be 18" long and 25lbs in a couple years.

Please cover the whole top including the lights with aluminum foil temporarily (as airtight as possible) to keep in the humidity and pour about 1quart of water or so in one area so it will distribute on the bottom of the glass but the surface will be dry. Humidity needs to be 80% or above.

Mazuri LS Small Tortoise soaked with only the amount of hot water that it will absorb added... make 4g (3-5% body weight) fresh daily
Cut up greens from Tom's list into very small pieces to make it easy for Lewy.
I learned to put the soaked Mazuri on top of the greens and more gets eaten.
Soak every day in warm water and provide fresh water to drink.
