Just want to introduce myself. My name is Brenda. I live in Oklahoma, and I have always loved turtles and tortoises. Up until now I have only had box turtles and a red ear slider. I am now doing research and getting ready to get a sulcata tortoise. I am taking my time and buying all the supplies to keep and house the sulcata before bringing home a new shelled baby. So any help and information from experienced keepers would be greatly appreciated.

Do your research here before buying or the store or other sites will waist your money on junk that is no good. Please read Toms threads below in my post for proper temps, humidity, enclosure, etc for your baby sully

Hello and welcome to the forum. There are a lot of juvenile and adult Sulcatas that need homes, if you want to avoid the fragile baby stage. If you are looking for a baby, make sure you're buying from a breeder that starts them right.
