NO. If you do this. Everything will seem fine at first, then they will begin to fight if both males. They can kill eachother. If a Male and a female, the male will mate with the female to the point of death. This is not a good idea and almost never works out unless done by someone with alot of experience.

No. Disease risk is very high. Different diets, different temperature requirements, different humidity requirements.

Species should never be mixed, and tortoises should never be kept in pairs.

Welcome mads3732 to the forum. As you can see we do not have species mixed and sexes mixed. We are very serious on keeping our turtles and tortoises safe and healthy. We had info sheets on the care of specific turtles and torts, also info on how to make an enclosure for the. We have very experienced people who are very willing to help you. All you need to ask and please let them help you. Take care and best wishes on your tortoise's care.

Because the Russian tortoise comes from, and has evolved to live in the steppe, it has very different husbandry requirements from the redfooted tortoise that has evolved in the humid jungles of South America. And you've been given other, just as important reasons why you should NOT keep the two species together.

(and they shouldn't be kept with your 50 sulcatas either)
