Help with Greek ID

This beautiful boy showed up at our house today with another tortoise we were expecting. We could use some help with IDing him. He is CB, 6 inches SCL, and 622 grams.

He looks like a T.g.ibera to me Tim & Robin :D

Hmm. We were thinking Zagros because he is so dark. Thanks for your help.

I'll post some pictures I just took of one of my little ones (Zagros Mtn that is) They are more brown than this male and the plastrons are different. :D

Interesting. She is a real beauty, and I can see why the difference. Do you remember the 2 you sold to Tereasa here in Idaho last year? They are much much darker than the one you just posted. I will get her to post recent pictures of them. They are a very dark gray, almost black. That is why we were thinking Zagros when we saw this new Greek. Hmmmm?

Looking through some more pictures :p What he's really resembling is T.g.anamurensis. Not sure that he's pure or not though, would be nice to see parent pictures. :D though.

I searched the forum before posting and found your stickied post on them. I thought the same thing. Certainly resembles the picture of the first one there.

In person, the light areas on his carapace appear more gray than in the photos. The posted photos make it look a bit more tan than it really is
