I posted a post about my red foot Taylor of how he is doing and descriptions of him. I also attached some photos of him to see his well-being.

for the gender, we followed the gender info off this website and he is a boy.

Thomas. While I enjoy trying to help here in any way that I can, my track record at guessing the sex of tortoises.....even my own...is not good.

Thanks for chime in! So best suggestion is to wait for Taylor to grow bigger to confirm its gender?
His tail is pretty long and wide also his shell spape by tail shows male more than female.

Whilst your tortoise grows, they can jump between appearing male and female. I was convinced my tortoise was male due to the development of a concavity at the bottom of his plastron near his tail. Alongside the length of his tail when compared to references of males of his species. However, females can also have concave plastrons, alongside other male characteristics. The only way to know for definite what sex your tortoise is, is if they flash (Show their penis), or lay eggs. Those are clear confirmations of a tortoise’s sex. Some people have spent years believing their tortoise is one sex, and then the tortoise turned out to be the other.

So, to summarise. Your tortoise is too young and too small to be able to sex. Their external sexual characteristics will develop as they grow larger, so what you are seeing now may not be what you will see in months from now.
