How often do I need to feed?

I feed my hatchling sulcata tortoise twice a day w/5pallets each time. How often do I need to feed it? And is it ok for him to eat dry pallets food from petco everyday?

You need to feed every day, but dry pellets from Petco are not the way to go.

Twice a day is fine that is a lot of pellets. Add some greens to the diet
Also what is the name of the pellets?

As wide a variety of food items is what you want to do. Less pellets more weeds, grasses, flowers, leafs, etc. items that I believe is in Toms links he posted. As for the pellets, Mazuri is the best to add into a varied diet, but a hatchling only a couple twice a week is more then enough.

If you never go back to Petco for tortoise food, it would still be too soon.

Speedy is a year old and is fed daily. I was advised to give him 4 pellets every 3rd day. The last 2 times he has ate them all, so I have increased it to 5 which also disappear in short order ! on the other days he gets a variety of greens . I am certainly no expert, but I would think a hatchling should have food available at least all day ?
