No, the hide box is not 99, that's the Hot part, the hide box is 80

That sounds good. All this will likely change once you contain your warm humid air. Closed chambers are MUCH more efficient, and usually much lower wattage bulbs are needed to maintain the correct temperatures. A thermostat is essential for maintaining the correct ambient and night temps.

I will work next on an enclosed top, do you recommend plastic tubs instead?

I have not found a plastic tub that suits my purposes or is the correct dimension. I would rather buy a ready made plastic enclosure, but no luck finding the right size and type. I've had to build my own.

Today I dumbed his soil/cypress multch combo & filled it with 2-3 inches of cypress, in his hide box I have moss that is damp, 3/4 of tank is covered, last night was the first time I used the ceramic heat bulb, I have it over hide box, kept it 85 all night, I am going to do everything I can to make sure my little guy Tank will be happy & health,
