I posted a WIP for this a long while back and never got around to posting the final results. Silly me!

So here it is. :) It's 4'x4' and propped up on a simple frame stand to make it easier to access.

There's heat cable under the substrate to keep the ambient temp up, and two lightless heat emitters since that's not enough. (Ignore the random CFL, it was an experiment in extra lighting that didn't work out)

And Raphael herself... She's almost 4 years old! She is constantly bulldozing all the decorations and generally being a brat. (And I know her shell is looking a bit pyramid-y so I've been working to correct that :T Possibly not enough humidity or something in her diet...)

At the rate she's growing I don't think it'll be long before she needs an upgrade

Looks great. However, a 4x4 is already quite small for a tort her size. Is this just her winter home?

That's a pretty decent enclosure. Mine is similar with the heat rope and CHEs. If you're anything like me, you'll have tons of fun creating a new enclosure in the future. If you're anywhere near Baltimore, I can probably hook you up with seeds and plants. Cute redfoot :D

Great size terrarium. Perfect for creating a heavily planted tropical forest environment for your red foot.

Hm well in the last thread I was advised that it'd be a good 'grow out' size til she was bigger and I could build an 8'x4'. I wasn't sure how long it'd last though. You think it's time for an upgrade already? Time flies x_x (She'll be 4 years old in May)

When I do the bigger one I plan to try out more real plants and such, I didn't really set this one up with the right lighting or subtrate for it and it'd need an overhaul so it'd be better to just do it for the big one... It's been a learning experience! :)

pfara- I am close-ish to Baltimore actually :O When I get to the point of needing plants I will have to hit you up for info, thanks!

Honestly, I think that size is still fine for your guy. Bigger is always better but I think there's enough leg room for your tort for the time being. In Mike Pingleton's book, he said concrete mixing bin (I'm assuming 3'x2') can house a pair of reds for "a few years". Redfoots don't seem to be as highly active as Russians so, in my opinion, you should be good.
