I weighed in him in April and he was a little over 80 lbs, not sure now.

Bob does the same thing. I love seeing them peek out like that. I think we recently saw a picture of RV doing the same thing...Sulcata, big Sulcata are just great beings...

Do you think they all got together and made a pact? Dudley does that too. Some mornings all I see in his doorway are two nostrils between the vinyl strips. But it seems to only be a Sulcata trait. None of my other tortoises do this.

Oh man, our summer just ended. Fall lasts.... just days, then 'winter' (don't laugh, snow people!) for weeks. Then spring flys by and then the heat. 9 plus months of nasty heat.
