Its up to you. Is there a reason to disturb the tortoise? They dig in like that to avoid the extreme mid day heat. What is your current mid day high temperature there now?
I went to see at 6am and he/she was out. Got her some lettuce and grated carrots and soaked her (as I was told to do). I added some more photos now. Can’t get a good look at the thighs and tail. The temperatures are high during the day it goes up to 46C
