If you can I would return it for a 125 watt or a Power sun 100 watt

I have mine on a zoo med light stand but you could make a light bar or hang it from a chain at the right height.

You need to read the directions on the box. Some of them say to have it around 12 inches from the floor of the habitat. But because of the size, it might be a little higher. You put a thermometer on the floor too, and raise or lower the light to get the temp your looking for.

Use the directions on the box as a good starting point, but check the temp directly under the basking spot with a temp gun or good thermometer. Let the bulb beat down on the basking for a good hour or two before you check the temp. I like to use a flat rock or piece of slate for this. Adjust the whole fixture up or down to get your desired temp. I like to just hang my fixtures from their cords, but some of our electrician members have advised against that. The lamp stand previously mentioned seems a good alternative too.
