We have a 3 month old leopard. About 4 weeks ago our tortoise started acting differently. Her eyes were starting to look bad which I think was due to the uv bulb which I have since replaced. We took her to the vet and got some antibiotic shots that we had to give every few days. Things done same to have improved. She doesn’t each much at all if anything. She doesn’t move around much in her enclosure. If we take her outside in the yard she is much more active. She weighed 37 grams at the appointment and was 39 grams yesterday. We r feeding her a spring mix from the grocery store as well has hibiscus flower leaves from our yard. She used to eat most of her food, especially the hibiscus. Her she’ll is very soft. We have a follow up vet apt today but I am worried. We spoke her every day for 20-30 minutes. Her enclosure is between 85-95 during the day and around 75 at night. Humidity is kept between 60-85. Unused to use a cool mist humidifier with distilled water but have read that those can be bad so now I am spraying with a bottle. Substrate is coconut husk.

I just got back from the vet. We had to make the decision to euthanize her. She had mbd and severe pneumonia. The vet gave her a very low chance of recovery.

That is too bad. Big hugs to you & your family.
