HI,

I want to ask. I have a 9cm leopard tortoise. He wont eat any greens (grass, weeds, vegetables). The only thing he'll eat is mazuri pellets or any greens that have been coated with mushed (wet) pellets.

I dont want him to be dependent on pellets. Thus, should I just give him greens and stop the pellets altogether (with the idea that eventually he will have no choice but to eat the regular food)?

Thanks

I would start by taking a pellet or two and soaking them in more water then needed. Then take the greens and chop them up small. Pour the mazuri soaking water over the greens along with one mashed pellet. Do this a couple days. Then switch to just the nazuri soak water on the greens. Then to just greens no mazuri or its soak water. Do each step a couple days or so. Then once hes eating greens dont give any mazuri for quite some time and then only mixed with greens and make it more greens to mazuri ratio.
