Little poem I wrote

He is clever In years and cute in looks,
As clever as a human that reads numerous books.
Stubby legs and coal black eyes,
A creature known for being so wise.
Munching on leaves that feed from the sun,
When I think of my tortoise, I think of fun.
He likes a good scratch at the bottom of his shell,
We all love our tortoises, who couldn't tell?
