Looking for advice on Russian lighting

The uv strip lamp has just gone In my viv, the viv is 4ft and so is the uv lamp, but I want to down size to a 2 ft viv. Can I just get a 2ft strip light in my viv now till I down size so I don't have to purchase 2 different ones?

Why would you want to down size? The 4ft one isn't big enough for any adult tortoise and not any juniors either. Up size instead of down size and use the light you have.
