Better safe than sorry. With so many we just brought everyone inside. They are not amused to be crammed in so tight but other things needed to be put in the garage as well. Also found another hatchling while picking everyone up. We are up to three feral babies.

Where abouts in Florida do you live?

They're making molotov cocktails with that gas can...100%. Nothing worse than a tortoise scorned.

How did you all do with Hurricane Matthew in Florida? I know the East Coasters got the worst of it. We in Jamaica were really lucky - Haiti, as usual, not so much.

Most of us in Florida were spared the worst of it. Matthew never made landfall in Florida.

It sounds like the Virginias are getting it pretty bad now... I hope everyone makes it through okay though I did hear of the 22 casualties this morning on NPR. I hope for no more!

Rain. Some wind. Nothing bad in SE Broward county.
It was mostly East Coastal areas that must have been affected, not by a landfall of the eye itself but the stronger winds and surf, and heavier rain within the eyewall. Quite a few of the hurricanes that have affected Jamaica in the past have not had a landfall of the eye, but have done considerable damage anyway.
Well, hurricane season is now drawing to a close...and I hope for no more!
