On a scale of one to ten how safe is the Mazuri Diet for Sulcata Torts?
Does it have all the nutrition needed? can the pellets lead to any health problems?

I apologize i didnt see the post from earlier.

I would say its very safe, with the caveat that you should feed it along with healthy greens. Even the instructions on the bag tell you to also feed greens.

i think it has too much protein for a daily diet (15%), i use it 2 times a week for my redfoots, but otherwise it has everything they need

Just FYI, there is a growing group of people who think that tortoise diets for most species are a bit protein deficient. We've believed (incorrectly) for so many years that protein had something to do with pyramiding, that there was a decades long trend away from protein.

As for the OP, I also think its good twice a week mixed in with some greens. My adults and Daisy got some today mixed in with lots of baby Bok Choy. Because its balanced and loaded with vitamins and minerals, it corrects any dietary deficiencies and gives them a much needed dose of protein.

I give it a "10" for safety. Just don't over do it and don't skip all the other good stuff.

high protein is 30+% or more. Mazuri is specifically designed for sulcatas. their name is written right on the product description. i highly recommend, use, and endorse Mazuri.

I don't feed mazuri at all in the summer when Bob is grazing outside but feed about 4 days a week during the winter. I just started feeding my year old torts 1 or 2 pellets a week now...is there a method to my feeding? No, it just works out for me and my animals. Bob will eat about 20 pounds thru the winter...mixed with a variety of greens of course...

My sulc won't eat mazuri, my RF on the other hand loves it. He gets it once a week, mazuri that is.

I sell mazuri at my pet store and im seeing it purchased a lot more in the last year or so.. We sell it by the pound though instead of the huge bags.. Seems to work out better for the customers with babys. My sulcata LOVES it, she eats that before the greens.
