Yes, I use it with my omnivores for an occasional protein bump.

Do you soak it? If so, How long? I bought some for Paxton (box turtle 48grams in weight) however I can't seem to get it soft. I'm grinding it up right now.

I soaked these for about 5 minutes in warm water... they don't get as soft as the tort feed gets in warm water, but it's a bit softer and I think they get more of the smell of it.

Despite my having been away on a two-week writing retreat, Aretha put on a hair more than a kilogram of weight since her last health-check, about two months ago.

She's about 37cm long, and seems in good health.

Aretha mostly eats greens and veggies, but also gets some animal protein and fruits... today she got some crocodile kibble, a few chicken hearts, sliced banana, diced strawberries, and some mango.

The salad, which the Russians also get (hence no fruit or animal protein) was a mix of greens, chayote, cactus pads, butternut, and my dried mix of flowers and herbs and seaweed.
