I'm surprised to see a post of an "ordinary redfoot" from you, Ben. I'm always impressed with all the other species you work with, but this is pretty awesome. :D

Redfoots are a favorite of mine. Abby has been with me for about seventeen years now. Hopefully afew of her eggs will hatch in a couple months.

She's beautiful. I have several RFs, and my big girl, Carmella is one to wander the house like she owns the place (gotta be careful, Oliver the 50 lb Sulcata will find her and tries to breed her!)

Mine laid 3 eggs Christmas Day. They are incubating.
I want to candle them, but not sure when is a good time. She was houses with another male before I got her a few months ago, so I'm treating them as fertile.

Thanks all! I got her in 1997 with Lothar my one of my males. They were owned by a family in RI since 1993 or 4. I would guess she may be about 30+yrs, she was a young adult when imported.

I have several viable ova from her again finally after 12yrs of everything being infertile. This was after I moved the group across country with me.

The way to save money is to feed the dog food to your dog, let the tortoises clean up the dog's leavings. Then let the dog follow the tortoises and clean up after them.. a way to get the most of your $ :D
