My female eastern box turtle just had her eggs layed!

She layed them in her eating chamber.


Here is the egg, she only layed two

Wow! I was wondering if they could lay this late. I got my female at the end of June and I haven't seen her lay any yet. Maybe she laid them before I got her, not sure. Keep us posted!

Thanks! & there were only two eggs so far

Congrats. The dent in the egg at that early stage is either an indication of it needing more moisture, or it being infertile. Keep us updated on whether or not it chalks (turns pure white) and the dent comes out.

Congratulations! I hope they are fertile and you have some healthy babies emerging and healthy before Thanksgiving and Christmas time. How exciting.
