My First Enclosure!

Hello all!

Thought I'd start up a thread to say thank you to people who helped me with my clamp lamp safety worries last night, and to show off my now almost complete tortoise table.

The table itself is a kit one, so you've probably seen many tables like this before, but I'm proud enough.

It just needs a few pieces of slate and it's ready for my new friend to move in!

Also, please ignore the excessively high humidity on the hygrometer - I'd just been soaking the sphagnum moss!

At some point you can submerge a safe house plant pot or two into the substrate.

It looks nice, but if you are going to have a hatchling you'll need a night light. I use a black light bulb for nighttime heat. They work great.
