Today is a good day, I now have an adult male eastern box turtle,I am halfway back into breeding boxies,He is not perfect but to me he's beautiful. His shell is beat up and has a hump, his color is great, and he seems healthy.Wasn't expecting one to come so quick, but glad it did, just what I needed.

He looks great, I like the well-spotted head paired with the spotted shell!

What do you think caused the hump? poor nutrition?

Having a big hump is a sure sign of a good breeder!

That is a looker! He's AWESOME! I wish I had a male like that. But they don't come around looking like that in Texas.

I now have 3 males and 1 female, I also will get another female in trade for one of my males. The first pic is the male I'm trading,The 2nd and 3rd pics are of the new male I'm keeping,The 4th is of the male and female together, notice how big the female is, shes a hand full, The last pic is of what happens when you stick your foot where it belongs or don't belong,it depends. Just got the female last night after dark, it didn't take this pair long to become friends.

Poor fella! (in the last pic that is) My walter once got stuck like that but his goodies were still sticking out. Another one of my females began trying to eat it.... im just glad the damage and swelling was short lived. That had to have hurt!

Thanks for sharing the pics!
