My new tortoise

Hi all I'm new and I was wondering if anyone could confirm what sub species of hermanns tortoise this is also he/she has a vertebral scute missing is this anything to worry about many thanks in advance

Oh, I LOVE that pattern on your tortoise's carapace. No, aberrant scute patterns are merely cosmetic and are not harmful in any way to the tortoise or his health. It may end up being female.

I'm not good at i.d.ing the subspecies, but we'll send a shout-out to @HermanniChris He may need to see pictures of the underside of the tortoise.

No need for an underside photo. It's an eastern Hermann's for sure (T. h. boettgeri). Beautiful. :)
