OK. This morning I gave Jacques a boiled jumbo shrimp! He tore into it like crazy- I videod it and will post it as soon as I figure out how to post videos! :)

BUT even though I took the shrimp out after he was done, I was left with tiny little shreds of shrimp that I can't pick up, and the filter intake is a good 2 inches above the sand, so I doubt it'll get it. I'm about to do a major water change because of this debris and the debris of all the other food I offered that he did NOT eat- it all sort of melted into mush. I wonder if adding cory catfish would help?IMG_8405.JPGIMG_8406.JPG
I can NOT do a water change EVERY time I feed him!!!!!!!!!:(

There are now a dozen ghost shrimp in his tank. They are pretty cool to watch, themselves! :)

You can also continue feeding him the big shrimp- just take him out of his tank and put him in a smaller container to feed. Keeps the mess from getting in the aquarium. Do that in general, instead of putting the food in the tank and it prolongs your time between water changes/filter cleanings.

Ghost shrimp are good though too- I have some in almost all of my tanks.
