I have some hibiscus i recently planted in my torts new enclosure.. but now i'm looking for a shrub no bigger than 3 feet or so that is non toxic that can provide a nice deal of shade for him opposite his hide if he so chooses to go there. The enclosure is outdoors and i live in south florida.. any suggestions?

Oh, man...everything grows in Florida! Take your pick. I don't know if its toxic or not, but I have butterfly bushes in my "rain forest." (Buddlea)

Here's a link to a site that boasts non-toxic shrubs, however they list azalea as good while I've always thought it was toxic:

I use ornamental grasses and my Sulcatas love to hide under them.
