Saw this guy at the Shell Factory in Fort Myers, Florida. He had the most incredible personality. His head and limbs were solid black. His front feet were webbed with long claws. His back feet were chubby and webbed. He would swivel his head around to get a good look at us as well as turn his eyes toward us. He swam really fast when he got back in the water. He was maybe about a it more than a foot long.

They are awesome turtles . I have two of them . The male loves attention . The female not so much . My male I've had for years . They beg for food all the time.

This guy (girl?) Would eyeball us, stretch front then back legs, turn around and look at us again. We threw food to him constantly, but all he did was posture and pose for us. He was a blast to watch! Just wondered if he was one of a kind, or if that was a personality of the breed.

I have a red ear slider and that is how she acts too. They are nice turtles. Mine does not like to be handled but I enjoy watching her for the same reasons you enjoy this guy.
