Hi!!

I found that I have not been getting the best advice on facebook and I’m desperate to get some answers.

My hermanns is about 9-10 months old. I received him at about 3 months. He had a rough transition & started out with an RI which cleared in about 2-3 weeks after taking him to the vet. He gained weight slowly for the next few months. Everything went back to normal.

Fast forward to today- I found him flipped over and was very worried so I did a full body scan on him, which I do about every 2 weeks. He’s acting totally fine now but I’m very concerned about what I found.

He’s got a reddish line down his stomach? I’ve never noticed that before. Also 2 of his scutes seem to be lifting off?? They feel dry and I didn’t want to mess with them at all but I could probably stick my fingernail a tiny bit under them if I wanted to. I’m very concerned about this. Am I burning his shell somehow??

He eats a variety of weeds- dandelion, clover, plantain mostly and lettuce since it’s winter time. I also feed mazuri with a ton of dried weeds mixed in. He gets soaks daily but usually drinks on his own. He poops almost every single day. Literally everything has been fine except for this.

Stats- 95 F under basking, humidity 60-70%, low 80s on the cool end.

Is my UVB light at the right spot? I cannot figure out what is going on. Will attach a ton of photos

It looks like he is getting burned under that heat lamp. Is heat 95 too high? I just have 1 red foot. So I'm kind of ignorant.... but that injury looks exactly like what I similarly described: that the heat lamp is too low and could be cooking his closest scutes!
